This cap badge is the third version of the Lion and wheel crest which was introduced following the electrification of the West Coast Main Line. This sleeker version was known by railway workers as the ferret and dartboard and is considered by many as the best of the three British Transport Commission designs. This remained in use until the logo was changed in 1965 to the Double arrow.Traditionally made in our Birmingham factory and hand finished to the highest standards. This metal cap badge in a Gilt (gold) finish has two pin and clutch fittings to attach to your cap or uniform.
