This Coal Tank No 1054 Locomotive badge is traditionally made, hand finished and enamelled. No 1054 is a side tank version of Webb's standard 17 in Coal Engine used for slow freight trains. The loco was designed by F. W. Webb for mixed traffic duties originally on the London and North Western Railway and was built at by Crewe works in 1888. The configuration of the loco is 0-6-2T with a 2F Power class. No 5305 is preserved at the Great Central Railway.
