This A3 4-6-2 Locomotive badge is traditionally made, hand finished and enamelled. The A3 Class was designed by Nigel Gresley and was built at the Doncaster Works in the late 1920s. The A3 class was a devleopment of the earlier A1 Pacific Class. The locomotive was designed for main line passenger services, initially on the Great Northern Railway (GNR), a constituent company of the London and North Eastern Railway after the amalgamation of 1923. The configuration of the loco is 4-6-2 with a BR: 7P6F power class.
