This Great Marquess K1 No.3442 Locomotive badge is traditionally made, hand finished and enamelled. Great Marquess is a Class K1 is a type of 2-6-0 (mogul) which was designed for mixed traffic duties by Arthur Peppercorn (E.Thompson's principal Assistant) for main line express passenger services. The K1s were built at the North British Locomotive Company between 1949-50 and were the last steam locomotives built to an LNER design. The configuration of the loco is 2-6-0 with a BR: 5P6F power class.This Locomotive is owned by the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust (RSL>).
